Recently I played inFAMOUS: Second Son again and I have to admit that it felt quite nostalgic for me. Using all the amazing abilities the game offers in order to fight, all while discovering new tricks and making impactful decisions, has been one of the best aspects of the game, in my opinion. Needless to say, it brought back some fun memories and this is one of the reasons why I wonder if anyone else is interested in discussing more about these incredible games and even coming up with a bunch of new theories and ideas.
If Cole MacGrath were to return to the InFAMOUS Canon Storyline in a future sequel, how would you like to see him return?
1. The original Cole MacGrath being revived by the lightning bolt at the end of InFAMOUS 2
2. A clone of Cole MacGrath created by the First Sons (similar to the Force Unleashed 2)
3. Evil/Beast Cole travelling from an alternate universe/timeline and becoming the main antagonist.
Since InFAMOUS is often downplayed in terms of power and speed, I figured I would share some feats to show how strong they actually are.
Cole survives the Ray Sphere Explosion (City level):http://vsbattles.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:ThePerpetual/inFAMOUS:_Yet_Another_Blast_Calc
Cole creates thunderstorm (Mountain level):http://vsbattles.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Spinosaurus75DinosaurFan/Cole_creates_a_thunderstorm
Polarity Wall converts bullets into electricity (Town to City level):http://vsbattles.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:TeenAngel101/InFAMOUS_Mass-Conversion_Calcs#2._Polarity_Wall_converts_bullets
Cole reacts to, dodges, and moves faster than Kessler's lightning (Mach 1293):http://vsbattles.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Spinosaurus75DinosaurFan/More_inFAMOUS_speed_feats
Cole creates another thunderstorm with Ionic Storm/Vortex (Large Island level):http://vsbattles.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Spinosaurus75DinosaurFan/Cole_creates_a_thunderstorm
The Beast creates a blast just by transferring his powers to Cole (Large Island level):http://vsbattles.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:PTSOXMONKEY99/The_Beast_makes_a_Big_Boom_Redux
Cole dodges a beam of Ray Field Radiation (Relativistic+ or 50%+ Speed of Light):http://vsbattles.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Spinosaurus75DinosaurFan/inFAMOUS_SoL_(This_time_with_the_actual_feat) (For reference, radiation moves at the same speed as light)
Delsin, Fetch, and Eugene move at light speed (The Light Speed technique is described as being light-speed by Delsin himself, and the game describes it as turning into pure light and is composed of Photons, which are light-speed particles)
Fetch moves faster than light (Via Neon Clouds, which she specifically states lets her move faster than normal, which is, by definition, faster than light. She is also able to easily react to and control her movements at this speed as well)
Delsin converts enemies into energy via execution (Small Island level):http://vsbattles.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:TeenAngel101/InFAMOUS_Mass-Conversion_Calcs#3._Second_Son_Conduits_convert_people_into_energy
Fetch strikes at light-speed with Finisher attack (Small Island level):http://vsbattles.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Assaltwaffle/inFAMOUS:_Abigail_Relativism_REDUX
Hope this was educational.
Delsin Rowe from inFAMOUS: Second Son vs. Alex Mercer from Prototype. Battle is set in New York City, Alex's home. Opponents will fight until the death. Keep in mind each opponent's powers, strengths, and weaknesses.
Post your opinions in the comments section and provide backup. (Example: Don't just say "Alex will win because Delsin sucks" or whatever. Provide evidence, such as "Times Square may do Delsin good with all the neon and video.) And don't add unnecessary things, like Cole MacGrath or James Heller, this is between Delsin and Alex ONLY.
Now don't hold back; post ya heart out!
The all too predictably redundant character battle discussion is finally here. You and I both knew this would eventually be created, so I guess I'll be "that guy." Now that the game has been out for a reasonable amount of time, I'm sure we can come up with a conclusion on who's the stronger Conduit, personal bias aside, of course.
Combatants: Cole MacGrath and Delsin Rowe.
Canon: inFAMOUS (Good Ending) and inFAMOUS: Second Son (Good Ending).
Setting: Seattle, Washington; abundance of power sources for all known matter/energy.
Rules/Restrictions:
1.) MacGrath and Rowe begin fully charged.
2.) Powers and abilities seen in game ONLY.
3.) MacGrath and Rowe have reached the rank of (True) Hero .
4.) MacGrath is limited to three Karmic Overloads and Rowe is limited to one Karmic Bomb for each matter/energy. Rowe begins the fight with Smoke power.
5.) MacGrath and Rowe have collected all the blast shards in their respective areas, meaning they've unlocked all their powers and abilities and are at full strength.
Cole MacGrath:
- Enhanced Strength and Durability
- Accelerated Healing
- Regulation of Electricity
- Large Volumes of Water (via Electrocution)
Delsin Rowe:
- Telepathic Perception
- Experienced Parkourist
- Enhanced Strength and Durability
- Accelerated Healing
- Power Absorption
(1) (Duel) Vulnerable after using this ability.
(2) Dependent on core relays to develop power(s).
(3) Unable to switch to other powers until the current is sufficiently developed.
- Dependent on Power Sources in Order to Switch between his Known Powers
- Large Volumes of Water (via Aquaphobia or the Inability to Swim)
Personal Opinion: Cole MacGrath
Who do you believe would take the cake in a battle between our favorite Conduit protagonists?
(If this has already been posted, I apologize in advance)
I have always considered inFamous a slight analog to the X-Men. I would actually like if I:SS slighty followed in the footsteps of the X-Men, With Delsin fighting for Conduit freedom. I2 actually had a sort of Conduit Team with Cole, Kuo, and Nix, all fighting to stop the Militia, the analog to the Sentinels/Friends of Humanity. When Cole used the RFI, it created an effect similar to The Decimation storyline. I:SS seems to be a slight nod towards the current Mutant Revolution storyline. Now I would like to see if Delsin will do a sort of X-Men: First Class sort of thing, where he brings various Conduits together to fight against the DUP. It would be cool if they got a sort of base of operations, somewhere where they could be safe from the DUP, learn how to use their powers, and plan how to defeat the DUP, like the place from Towa no Quon. I've always seen Delsin as a sort of Freedom Fighter, based upon his actions in his human life. Sucker Punch has stated that he has always felt Destined for Greatness, this greatness could be leading the Conduit race to a glorious future. Please feel free to post your opinions
Delsin seemed like any average rebel at first, But with the release of the "Fetch Trailer" he seemed much more sadistic and Dark.
the smoke and flame stuff, is what he's using really fire, it looks more like ashes or burning embers to me.
Its possible that Delsine could be Cole's unknown brother. In infamous 2 Cole mentions that he had a little brother that he hasnt spoken too in a while. The game is called Infamous Second Son so it could mean that its the second son in Cole's family because Cole himself is the first. Seeing as he is from Cole's family it would make sense that he has the conduit gene. The only thing that goes against this theory is his last name but it could mean that they had different fathers. Let me know what you guys think.
I have been wondering if Second Son, is in any relation to the First Sons from the previous Infamous games. Just a wild speculation but could be entirely correct...Or is it just the fact that Delsin is the second son of the family?
How are Karmic Changes going to alter Delsin's abilities? And will SP have to also consider how Karmic Changes effect the other (if any) powers that Delsin absorbs?
