The "Amp" is the dub given to the main melee weapon used by Cole in InFamous 2.
The Amp is built or found by Zeke, however it has been confirmed somehow Zeke built the Amp as Nate Fox director of inFamous 2 stated and is made to channel Cole's electricity power to increase the power of his melee attacks.
The Amp looks like a large double-prong cattle prod, that Cole uses to channel his electricity into and bash enemies with.
When in use, Cole pulls it from his backpack, which would extend and channel electricity.
The Amp is used, controller wise, by hitting the square and triangle buttons. Cole can also pull off combos with the Amp, and there will be finishing moves with this weapon.
Trivia
- Since the Amp has replaced most of the hand-to-hand melee, it may seem improbable to use Gigawatt Blades, though the blades might appear on the prongs, making the Amp appear as an axe and being much more powerful.
