The Amp is built by Zeke and is made to channel Cole's electricity power to increase the power of his melee attacks.

The Amp looks like a large double-prong cattle prod, that Cole uses to channel his electricity into and bash enemies with. When in use, Cole pulls it from his backpack, which would extend and channel electricity. The Amp is used, controller wise, by hitting the square and triangle buttons. Cole can also pull off combos with the Amp, and there will be finishing moves with this weapon. Also based on a new trailer Cole also have the abillity to channel his fire and ice powers through the Amp as well.

• The prototype for the Amp was a pipe which was used in the same way. Plus, it would have been made into the first game, but was scrapped.
• It appears the Amp will only work with Cole (or other electricty using Conduits) due to requirements of electricity.
• As a pre-order bonus from Amazon.com, The purchaser is given a code to download a 24 karat Golden Amp for Cole to use in-game.

• The inFAMOUS 2 website states that it can unleash a thousand volts of electricty.
• In recent pictures it would appear that the Amp changes appearance with Cole's karma level. It becomes rusty when Cole has evil karma, while becoming shinier while Cole has good karma.
• It is possible the finishers for The Amp depend on Cole's karma level.
