Trophy SpinOff
I thought I'd finished it.
This page needs to be expanded in order to include more relevant information.

Want to get up-close and personal? Zeke designed the Amp so Cole could channel his energy through this melee weapon. Now you can pound any enemy in your space with a thousand volts of power so they will never get back up.
― Official Website's Description.

Amp

The Amp.

The Amp was built by Zeke and is made to channel Cole's electricity power to increase the power of his melee attacks.

Testing The Amp

Cole and Zeke testing the Amp

The Amp, which looks like a large double-prong cattle prod, is what Cole uses to channel his electricity into and bash enemies with. When in use, Cole pulls it from his backpack, which would extend and channel electricity. The Amp is used, controller wise, by hitting the square and triangle buttons. Cole can also pull off combos with the Amp, and there will be finishing moves with this weapon.

Trivia

  • The prototype for the Amp was a pipe which was used in the same way. It would have made it into the first game, but was scrapped. [citation needed]
  • A 24 Karat Gold Amp will be included in the Hero Edition. It can also be obtained by pre-ordering a copy of the game at Amazon
  • Three more amp skins, the Sly Cooper Cane, Caveman Club, and Samurai Sword are also included in the Hero Edition and pre-orders of the standard edition from any retailer (along with the Reaper Skin)
  • The inFamous 2 website states that it can unleash a thousand volts of electricty.
  • In recent pictures it would appear that the Amp changes appearance with Cole's karma level. It becomes rusty and darker when Cole has evil karma, while becoming shinier when Cole has good karma.
  • As stated by the producer of InFamous 2 that Amp skins such as the 24 Karat amp skin and Katana amp skin cannot be used with other body skins (ex. Kessler skin with golden amp) as it is reported to glitch the game.
