David Warner was a father, husband, and security guard employed in the First Sons Research Facilty in Empire City. After learning of David's severe money problems, Kessler offered him help in exchange for becoming one of the test subjects for the Ray Sphere. Kessler promised to deliver payment to David's wife personally, but did not follow through on his word which caused her to eventually commit suicide out of desperation. David was exposed over thirty times to the Ray Sphere, each time granting him a new power. After the events of inFAMOUS, David now seeks vengeance against Kessler, but pursues Cole, who he believes is just Kessler in disguise. As Kessler is dead, and being the same person as Cole, David, who has a unique ability to "smell" people on a genetic level, is unable to distinguish Cole from Kessler.
It is revealed in inFamous #5 that David's last name is Warner.
Powers & Abilities
His full array of powers is unknown. The only known abilities he has are: life-force absorption, possibly super strength, four arms, some kind of infra-red vision and possibly clairvoyance; additionally, Moya said that David can "smell" people on the genetic level. David needs to feed on neuro-electricity, as he will die without it. David's side was torn by a rocket, though he miraculously healed fast. He also seems to have electric powers, as he is shown shooting some kind of red electricity at Cole. Also, he survived being bombed and buried under a building, displaying a great degree of superhuman durability.
Life before the Ray Sphere
David worked as security guard before being subject to the Ray Sphere’s effects. His family lived apparently in the Neon District of Empire City and before the events of inFAMOUS he was working to pay off a large debt.
Evidently he was also very religious; invoking God and thanking him numerous times for allowing him to live on, and also asking for forgiveness when he is forced to kill people for their neuro-electric energy.
