Ionic Drain is an area-of-effect power which lets Cole drain the life force from enemies standing around him. This power may be gained from Nix after the discovery of a blast core. Learning the ability locks out Kuo's alternative, Sheet of Ice, and causes Cole to become more evil looking.

- When Cole performs Ionic Drain, the sky bears a slight red tint, and the skeletons of surrounding enemies seem to glow possibly hinting Cole is producing radiations.
