The swamp blockade is a small village in InFamous 2 out in the swamp which may look a little, but not really much, like a piece of Flood Town and is also the first place in New Marais as the player will be at. The swamp blockade contains a Dead Drop there, which can help you earn the "Behind The Curtain" or "Well inFORMED" trophies.

Trivia

• The swamp blockade features the first karmic moment of InFamous 2, giving the player a choice to shoot bolts at a power generator to make it lower a bridge just fine or shoot it more to make it explode just after bridge is lowered, killing some militia and civillians, the result will stay there for the rest of the game.
• If you go back there a while after you got there, you can earn the "Back To The Bayou" trophy. While many say you need a Lightning Tether to get the trophy, you actually only need to have upgraded Static Thrusters to get to the first pole from jumping off the roof of the "Rosa Lee" (the boat that takes you to New Marais).
