Description
Introduction
Head south from the white marker where you start this mission to a boardwalk infested with swamp monsters. Use melee attacks to wipe them out and then search for the hostage, who happens to be strung up between two posts at the end of a short dock. Shoot both arms to free her and she’ll jog ahead of you, leading you into the city.
You’ll have to take on more of the Corrupted as you follow her. Get creative with your Ionic Vortexes and be sure to use Blast attacks if the monsters crowd you.[1]
The mission
The woman will lead you through an alley with wounded Rebels -- heal them for some Good Karma points if you wish. Head south from the white marker where you start this mission to a boardwalk infested with swamp monsters. Use melee attacks to wipe them out and then search for the hostage. Shoot both arms to free her and she’ll jog ahead of you, leading you to her uncle. When you reach the plaza with the lion statue a cutscene will occur. After the cutscene a massive monster, the Devourer, will appear. This armored beast is only vulnerable in one spot: it’s open mouth. Run far away, preferably behind cover, and fire Bolts repeatedly at the mouth when it opens, taking care to dodge the green goo shots if they come near. All it will take is a few dozen quick Bolts to bring down this menace. The key is to keep distance and keep firing.[1]

Trivia
- If the player dies in the fight with the devourer the player will respawn and some civillians will just ignore the fight, even if they get attacked.
- If Cole has evil karma when he rescues Sara, he will threaten to leave her if she doesn't stay quiet.
