  • If Infamous, or I like to believe when, since Sucker Punch works one game at a time, they should no longer be tied to realism of people gaining powers and trying to fit into society. Conduits should embrace their gift but the good know to hold back.

Delsin should star in at least one more game, improved, smarter, funnier and wiser, in his own ways. Larger scale activities should return, using grafitti, and art using his large pool of powers. Stronger, in of himself and his abilities, no "restart" like with Cole. He should have over 10 abilities, with just as much if not more variety of Conduits around, for famous and infamous. To balance this without taking this comment too far, the scale and range and variety of enemies must increase, underground, on land, on sea, and sky - maybe projects and experiments, remnants of old organizations, run amock for chaos, peace, or to be released.

Should be some time after freeing and gaining powers from Curdan Cay and others. In the game itself, some powers ar  locked for the story / event purposes, like a Metroid game. Maybe two or so years, for Conduits to have settled and made peace with historical triumphs  like Cole and Delsin.

Powers should be under the Second Son format, as telekinesis gets boring for me. Read Marvel Comics if you want that for this is Infamous. Second Son gave clarity, variety and uniqueness to a Conduits powers. There should be categories however, like ELEMENTS for Conduits like Cole, and UNIQUE for Delsin, to name a few. Yet these categories run on the same principle: Sources.

What does the community think? Should I tell more? What would you add to keep the Infamous train going? Can we even petition the idea as a motivator to Sucker Punch?

There's soo much potential here, it dare not be wasted nor forgotten.

    • Why not bring back Cole, and have it switch between Delsin's group for two games, then Cole's group for two other games?

    • Part of the idea is to bring Cole back, but the story tells why he's not easily accepted in the New era. Some herald him as a god, while others a devil.

Switching between two groups is fine, but would need to focus more on Delsin's era and his perspective, for the excuse that he needs another game. Potentially the most powerful conduit ever lived, needs another story to flesh him out.

      Interesting idea.

How about GTA V-type idea where the player switches between playing as Cole and playing as Delsin?

I dig it. As long as there's an equal of activity's and story telling, and more power exploration, fine.

Not sure if Cole would have as big as an involvement as Delsin, however, it may play like Ultimate Spider-Man. Where eventualy you can switch to Venom and play his side of things, without much involvement of Delsin and vice-versa. GTA 5's realtime switchouts, where Cole or Delsin are automaticaly in midst of a mission, or talking to npc / other conduits, would be really cool.

    • Thanks for the critque of my idea, GreenAvenue.

Alternatively, how about a Buddy Cop-like story to compliment the "switching between two characters" thing? But instead of cops, it would have superheroes as the partners working together instead of cops.

    • S.young9 You're on a roll. Buddy systems work pretty well, and it's not often superhero / powered characters in games have a take on it. So I'm all for it. I guess Zeke will feel more left out now Cole's got Delsin by his side. Joking aside, there are some concerns.

One issue is scale. Delsin and Cole are powerful characters, so there should be some powerful enemies on screen.

Also, how will the story handle these two? As I've mentioned earlier, there'll naturally be conflicts, mostly on Cole's end for what he got away with (The Beast and all).

Will siding on Hero or Infamous keep 'em together or apart? Will that send sparks causing their duel?

Sucker Punch would have to introduce conduit(s), capable of fighting these powerhouses. So the playground (Open World) would need sky, land, maybe sea this time (more than the swamps in Infamous 2, at least for Delsin and others), underground and etc, to demonstrate large scale.

These characters are only growing, its ridiculous to keep them on this "what if regular guys gained powers". Broader, bolder, more precise is where the series needs to go, in my opinion. But I'm shifting off topic.

          • If they're buddies, you know Delsin might pester Cole to absorb them powers. That's gonna be a moment. If it were to happen, it won't be right way. I could see Cole refuse until late in the game just to give reason to use Cole, and not overly Delsin. Though Cole (unless Sucker Punch avoids a soft reboot of powers like game 1 into 2), does have more years with his powers if Delsin were to get Spark.

Reason I dub it Spark is for Delsin's unique style of the power, and different techniques applied. Maybe a dash that turns him into a lightning bolt. Too powerful? Well, hard to control then.

    • Interesting ideas.

To answer you question, I would say siding with Hero would keep them as allies, and siding with Infamous would have them end up as enemies.

Also, think of Delsin as the rookie superhero to Cole's veteran superhero.

And Zeke would be sort of like their "boss", so to speak (not literally their boss, but close enough).

I know Cole has a bit more experience in the field than Delsin does, but I wouldn't refer the latter a rookie. Nor a sidekick. Just look at what Delsin accomplished in one week (game's time, post-recovery), with 4 different powers, and his openess to it, compared to Cole. Albeit, Cole has more going for him, that's only because he was given more games.

Just my opinion. Delsin did not take on the Beast or his future counterpart, like Cole. Yet, Cole did not defeat the Beast alone, or truly beat Kessler (he was weakened, and possibly refraining himself - which he would need to, to prep a healthier, growing version of himself to face the Beast. And he wanted to die by his younger's hand). So the two are nearer, rather equals to me in their respective courts. In strategy, technique, both have their special quirks. So more equals.

Zeke, acccompanied by someone else (maybe Betty, lol), preferably new, I could see the former serving as some kind of leader. But he's always been beside Cole, not above, so I doubt that changes now. Maybe act as the voice of encouragement for Cole, or Intel man, but honestly, Zeke has been through his own things, so he shouldn't be acting like an immature version of himself. I can see Delsin sparking Zeke's younger side at times. Just my 5 cents really.

Good stuff. What do you think?

    • All neat ideas.

Okay. In that case, I could see Zeke as the Commissioner Gordon of sorts to both Cole and Delsin, and Betty being the Alfred in the sense of the parental figure archetype.

    • By the way, In the Infamous Universe, even though some Conduits come back to life (eg. John White), NON-Conduits that die are, sadly, gonna stay dead.
