Vampires were creatures of the night who lived by feeding on blood. They were known to have stormed New Marais and turned the Conduit, Cole MacGrath, into a vampire as well.
The blood of a Conduit was capable of resurrecting vampires, as proven by Cole's forced participation in one of their ceremonies. To what degree, is so far unknown.
