Vampires were creatures of the night who lived by feeding on blood. They were known to have stormed New Marais and turned the Conduit, Cole MacGrath, into a vampire as well. The UGC Missions created by Sucker Punch refer to them as "Blood Conduits" suggesting that in the InFamous universe Vampires are a kind of Conduit which functions similar to Bertrand's Conduit powers in the sense it can infect others.
The blood of a Conduit was capable of resurrecting vampires, as proven by Cole's forced participation in one of their ceremonies. To what degree, is so far unknown.
They sometimes appear to be in packs around New Marais. Whenever Cole arrives to a pack, they have captured civilians with them. When Cole attacks, they use the civilians as human shields. If Cole takes too long to kill them, they bite the civilians, which turn into more vampires. Their main weapon is a crossbow, although they try to bite Cole, in which a quick-time event sequence is initiated in order to get them away from you. If you "dominate" 20 Vampire Packs, you can earn a trophy.
